Our local roots
The story of Foley Trail.
Our name celebrates a historic route west of Edmonton — a trail travelled by Indigenous peoples, explorers, traders and freighters, and later used to carry supplies during construction of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway.
A little more of our history
The Foley brothers, partners in Foley, Welch and Stewart, were responsible for building supply trails that became known as Foley Trails.
Former owners Floyd and Donna Fausak, and Wendy and Lucas Fausak, chose the name “Foley Trail Fuel & Wash” to honour early community builders, including Fred and Hazel Fausak, and their dedication to preserving the area’s past.
